The microphone, my best friend.
One on One I confess:
That no matter, what I confess it wouldn’t be the
truth, so why confess I aspire to be:
Are you kidding me I am already in my mid 20’s. I
should have already been what I aspire when I was a kid.

Ins and outs Prashan Shyangden, the other half of the
"Rhythm Brothers", in Kantipur FM 96.1 did half
of his schooling abroad. On and off from Hong Kong to Singapore
and the other half in AVM, Adarsh Vidhya Mandir.
About schooling:
I didn’t enjoy school much, because it took me a long
time to adjust and become a part of the crowd. I was a loner
who never made best friends. Till 11th standard I studied
in GPS, which I enjoyed profusely. Even after so many years
two of my good friends then, are still my good buddies now.
Fashion trends I don’t really follow any trends.
People tend to ask me time after time, why long hair? Why
the ear rings? And my newest addition the stud above my eyebrows
literally raises many eyebrows. No particular reason just
felt like it Now I am gonna pierce my nipple too and many
more to come.
After coming back from Australia: When i came back from Australia I heard
the Steve cab show. I called him up and talked on air. Eventually
I asked him, what do I have to do to become an RJ? He asked
me if I seriously wanna get into RJ-ing and I said yes. Basically
that is how I got the job. The first experience as an RJ was
kind of numbing. I don’t recall what was happening.
I just remember the first jingle ‘Simply the best!’
Tell us about your parents, were
they supportive? My parents have always been liberal. They
are always happy about the decisions i have made till date.
On being an RJ tell us about your profession, is it okay
to be an RJ? My personal view is, if you love
your job it’s good. Money is one question that will
always be there no matter what you do but according to me
whatever makes you happy, go for it. Being an RJ is one
of the safest jobs in the line of Media as far as age is
concerned. People might not accept it but an RJ is just
a voice.
Tips on fitness: I am not a fitness freak and I guess the
right person to give fitness tips but probably eating right,
walking a lot and also swimming can make one fit.
Tell us three things people do not know
about you?
Well I guess the reason they don’t know about it is
because the three things I don’t want them to know about
it, right? Okay it’s for me to know and for you to find
out!
What's the best compliment you have
got till date? The best compliment I have got is, I am
a good friend, and may be that makes me good human being
too.
How do you feel being the most wanted bachelor around town? As I told you everybody has their

around. Well if I was, where are the girls, man? And what
you the Idea of girls being after me? do me a favor, anytime
a girl comes looking after me please give her my personal
number.
Love life A poetic verse: It’s actually a line of a song,
it’s Ronan Keaton’s, “You say it best
when you say nothing at all!” When you are in love
with someone you don’t really have to keep on saying
it.
First crush: Its when I was in 9th grade. I knew she
was the girl I was gonna marry.
The Heartache: When a loved one can’t relate to
me, may be that’s the time when it really hurts me.
What touches you the most? My clothes touch me the most! On a serious
note; good gesture you know!
What if an alien from another
planet proposes you? If the alien is beautiful then why not
accept her proposal. But if they are like those little green
thing from Mars then no way!
Who is the man that closely resembles
your dream person? People who owe me a lot of money, who’ve
taken credit from me, these are the person I have definitely
got to see again.
I'd kill and die for?
Nobody is worth dying for. I am just gonna live and die
for myself! Sounds kinda selfish.
Perceptions in life: Life is:
great if you want it to be, life is bad if you want it to
be, life is boring if you want it to be, life is interesting
if you want it to be. So I think life is exactly whatever
one wants it to be. Death is:
Mysterious. Love is:
Over-rated. Music is:
What I earn my bread and butter from. It is what an RJ is
made up of.
Priceless moments: Most memorable moment: Everyday
is A memorable moment for me. Saddest moment:
I have erased every sad moment out of my life. What’s
the point of thinking about the sad moments? Funniest moments: I
think life itself is funny. In our studio we have the revolving
chair with all the tiers and once when I was on the show
I fell off my chair. I am still alive and trying to explain
the people who didn't see me but my coworkers who did were
laughing like anything. That was a priceless moment.
For wannabe RJ's Do you think this profession
is lucrative? I don’t think I am the right one
to answer if it is lucrative or not. If you want to make
any profession lucrative it is totally up to you. Get into
the job. Don’t play safe and figure out for yourself.
Message to
the parents:
Parents should let children follow their interests. You've
lived your life let them live theirs.
Spice of your life? The masala (spices) mom puts in my home
cooked food are the spice of my life.
Ultimate goal in life?
The most impossible goal of life, to stay happy forever.
In my death bed ,just wanna die with a smile and say no
regrets! Peace.
