Which media featured you first, any
special memories attached with it?
Well, it was Wave magazine
that feature me for the first time. The fond memory part,
I was the first cover male model ever featured in that magazine.

Education
Well
I did my schooling from St. Augustine in Kalingpong. Then
I finished my higher classes in Delhi. After that I worked
with mom till 1999 at her school. I took one-year break to
relax. In 2001 I went to Bombay and entered Kishore Namit
Kapoor Acting Lab. I studied acting for 6 - 7 months. And
here I am now. |

General view about the fashion industry
and the modeling scene in Nepal?
To be frank, I say it lacks quality.
There is a lack of creative people here. The infrastructure
is poor. Yes, I know I am abusing my own countrymen but what
is the truth will always remain the truth. |

5 years down the line?

who can predict where one is doing 5 years down the line.
One thing is for sure, I will be doing a lot. |

Who inspired you to get to this field
of acting?
I guess, a junior
teacher of mine. He once remarked, “You resemble someone
among the Indian Models” and I was like “DO I”.
He gave me this magazine to look and well I was immediately
hooked after that.

When did decided to entering this field?
I think this idea came into my mind after
class 8. I just didn’t want anything else after that.
Before that, I wanted to be a doctor by profession. |

Well being a doctor is already out of
the question for me. I think I would have been an actor. |

I must say, the first day in the institute where I was asked

The first fashions show I did in the year 1996. I was paid
Rs. 500. Then I thought that no one can earn his bread and

back to come into this field and help build a better modeling
environment in Nepal. Nowadays stepping into modeling is
very easy. The hurdle is too low. Therefore the hurdle should
also increase. |
