Tell us how you got the
name Noyo as its not a Nepali word?
Well, my dad read a novel with a character called
Noyo. He got inspired with it and liked the name
so much that he started calling me with the same. |

Who featured you first?
Anup Prakash Shrestha. He is
the Wave Glamour Photographer. I was staying home
then doing nothing. One of my sisters was doing
make up for Chahana Beauty Parlor and they required
a model. She said that I should give it a try.
In Vogue designers liked me and I was picked .The
experience was really nice and I started continuing
with it. |

What made you continue with
it?
Well it’s a glamorous
field and who do not like to be noticed and cared.
People who hated me started liking me. I felt
that I could do big in this field as the photographers;
designers said that I have the looks and flexibility.
It’s kind words as such that motivated me
to actually continue with it. |

What is your general view
about the fashion industry and the modeling scene
in Nepal?
I have
been in this fashion industry for the last 2 years.
Its great but professionalism is still less. The
only thing I wish is for the right people to be
on the right place. I mean this fashion industry
requires good professional people. The infrastructure
is getting better day-by-day. Nowadays outdoor
locations are becoming more popular compared earlier
where indoor shoots were more prominent. Overall,
I must confess that the industry is growing and
becoming wider. |

What do you think you will
be doing 5 years down the line?
Hmm, one thing is for sure,
I will never leave modeling. There are still 40+
models around who are engaged to this field and
contributing their skills and experience. Maybe
I will be doing something similar. Right now I
am working as an air hostess with Sita Air but
even though I do keep myself aware about the trend
here. |

Tell us the secret of being
in such a good shape, how do to keep yourself
fit?
If you are talking about me,
let me confess, I am a very lazy person. I guess
it’s the work of an air hostess that’s
keeping me fit. Imagine, now my days begins at
4 o’clock in the morning. I wrap my side.
A car comes home, picks me up for the flights.
I come back at around 6 PM tired. Then I freshen
up myself and play with my sister’s daughter
for a while. Then I go to sleep. I guess that’s
what keeping me fit. |

Tell us about your movie"
LAKHSYA"?
I like exploring new things.
I was asked to play in a movie. Initially I was
shocked. I never discard a project without listening
to it. I met the director. I told him that I don’t
want to dance in a green field wearing funny dresses
we all laughed and agreed. The story deals with
the problems faced in a student’s life.
The best thing about the movie is, the director
got inspired with my name and me, he also kept
my name in movie "Noyo". |

You get to learn every seconds
of your life. I have become more matured to deal

Do you think this profession
is lucrative?
It’s a good source of income if you are
good. I am sustaining myself through this profession
and I have no qualms about my decision. There
are so many who are doing it better than me.
A message to
the parents?
Trust them and let them live their dream. The
kids today know what they want and what is good
for them. They should get their part of experience.
It can be good and can be bad but what ever
it is, it will surely make them stronger, wiser
& mature. Its not only the fashion industry,
any profession for that matter if the parents
don’t trust their children then how can
they get into it.
