The tourney kicks off on October 6th 2009 at the Tribhuvan University Ground where the corporate giants will play their game. With the theme of “All Play No Work” the game targets to give the participants a break from their usual office work and break some records at the ground. The game has become a kind of a religion where everybody looks forward to take part and win. The game when first started in 1999 was just a two days event with few teams. Now it has grown bigger and better. And this time there are 24 teams including 4 media, 15 banks, 1 embassy and 4 corporate houses.

The format of the game has been changed this year. Since there are 24 teams, we have divided those teams into 8 groups of 3 teams each where each team in a group will play with each other in the league round. Top 2 teams from the group out of 3, will go into Super League round where there will be 16 teams, 2 teams from each group.

16 teams will then be divided into 4 groups of four each. The ones who have played before will not be playing with each other but will play with the other two from the 2nd group from the League match. Now 4 team will come out and will be playing Semi Final and then Final.

The Tournament is being organized in association with Spice Nepal Private Ltd. and supported by Himalayan Distillery Limited, Gorkha Brewery (P) Ltd., Dragon Air, Vogue, Seiko, Bottlers Nepal and Kantipur Television as a Official news partner and ournepal.com as the official website for the event.

“For the last 11 years we have been organizing this event and every year we see it grow. We are proud to say that Soaltee Crowne Plaza is doing some thing for sports tourism. We organize golf tournament every year in May. We are also the host hotel for the Bahrain Football team that is happening right now as we speak and also the host hotel for ICC 2010 from Feb 19-28, 2010.”, says Mr. Greesh Bindra, the General Manager of the Hotel.

The six day tournament is a six-a- side tournament and the technical aspect of the tournament will be managed by the professionals nominated by Cricket Association of Nepal.
