How do you state yourself? What do you
consider your self to be?
We are complex-hearted, we mean no one gets
exactly what we are thinking and what we are willing to do.
Generally, we are soft spoken, simple in nature, kind-hearted,
friendly, least bothered of what people say or think about
us.
We first would like to say, we are no one without the identity
of our parents than we are a son than only we are a team who
are trying to lead ourselves along with the music, just to
the top. |

How did you start your career?
Sujan and Dhiraj says” we used to
watch our seniors play in front of us and we listened them
with interest untill they packed up. And, one fine day, we
came up with an idea of forming our own band & release
an album of our own. We’d say, that was our turning
point to the field "MUSIC ”. |

Did you receive any training on playing
instruments?
Only two of us took training Dhiraj (in
school and kaleidoscope) & Sujan took training during
school and also with seniors. Apart from that we consider
ourselves as self-learners. We love to make music and we work
hard to introduce it to everyone not just like music but like
good music. |

How many band members make SCARRED SOUL?
We have six members in our band Santosh
as a vocalist, Bibek as a bass guitarist, Sujan as a keyboard
player, Amit as a drummer Dhiraj as a lead guitarist and Nripendra
as a rhythm guitarist and we all give vocal too.

What is so special about your band &
how do you consider it different form the rest?
Well, we are introducing a new way of singing
& composition. The beats are different with totally new
get ups (image). This can be one of the reasons that separate
us from others.
We have noticed that, the new & upcoming bands introduced
do not have the flavor of ROCK in it. We are not saying they
are bad but they’ve just sung the song without giving
emphasis on the style of rock music. Listen to our forth-coming
album and you’ll know what we mean. |

Can you highlight what you mean by ‘totally
new get ups’ sounds interesting?
Totally new get ups, ha ha ha, you know
AXL ROSE, don’t you? Like him on our stage performance
we dress ourselves on Scottish frock, a scarf, spikes, underground
or cowboy martin and a tight vest and if not that a punk dressup
like the same band where acl belongs "GnR" or like
"sex pistol" .
Many people think us mad but we really don’t care, as
it not going change the way we were, are and will be. There
is an idiom saying, “Love one as one is, not by changing
the way one is”. Well, its just us. |

How may stage performances have you
done so far?
In spite of several offers, till date, we
have done 6 live stage performances. Rock concerts like Baneshwor
Festival, Basantapur Street Festival etc. |

When is your debut album releasing &
what kind of songs can we expect?
Well
prior to releasing our album itself, we will be releasing
our music video so the rock lovers can have a little taste
of our music. We are going to have total 9 tracks in our album
and it consists both Nepali and English version. |

How’s the feeling like after winning
the prize in Basantapur Street Festival?
Winning
the award obviously was a thrilling moment for all of us.
Telling you the truth, performing was easier than standing
in front of thousands of audience and receiving the award.
We were bit nervous, as it was our first time receiving an
award as such. |

Anyone supported you to form a band?
Well, frankly speaking, there are no supporters
as such who helped us out to form our band. The band members
you see in ours are all childhood friends. We all are self-depended.
Believing in oneself and members is the best thing we do. |

Nowadays there are many bands that release
their album and disappear like a mirage? What do you say about
that?
Yes, there are many bands that disappear
after releasing their albums. We do not blame them as they
must have faced many problems such as financial, personal,
a members leaving the band or going away for further studies
and many more. We till date are here to stay and rock this
nation and spread worldwide but who knows same problem might
occur to us. |

Any musical artists that you consider
as your idol?
There are lots of international inspirators
but we mostly take Marley Manson, GnR as we are not only fan
of their music but also of the image they carry. |

What do you think about marriage?
Amit says "Marriage is a burden, breaks
your shoulder when you try to carry it". Although one
of our friend has already carried it. Poor chap. hehehe... |

What kind of music do you prefer to
listen any particular choice?
We listen to all kind of music such as rock,
gazal, classical rock and more. We confess one thing, we say
big NO to boy bands and hip-hop music’s. Its not music
at all. Wonder how and why they like it but yea people have
their own taste. |

Memorable moment:
For
us the memorable moment was when we composed our first song.

Saddest moment till now:
The saddest moment to all of us was when we had interest in
music but no instruments to go along.
